If yes, then it’s time to set out with us to explore the iconic peaks, glaciers and mountain ranges of Mont Blanc, a name that resonates in the heart of every mountain lover and adventure seeker. Saturday (24th of September): HIKING IN THE CHAMONIX VALLEY
We will walk 11 km in the valley of Chamonix, well known for its stunning natural surroundings. Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in France, stands at the edge of this town. Chamonix offers awesome views of the mountains. You will walk through the alpine forests in the valley and enjoy the views of mountains and peaks. The trail will also lead you to a picturesque lake and a waterfall.
Length of the walk – 11km
Level of difficulty – Easy.
Sunday (25th of September): HIKING TO THE BOSSONS GLACIER
The Bossons glacier is one of the wonders of the Alps. This glacier originates on the French side of Mont Blanc. You will be able to see incredible views of the Chamonix valley on one side and the Bossons glacier on the other side. As we further continue the hike, the terrain becomes rockier and more interesting. The trail offers many opportunities to view Mont Blanc. You can also expect some great photo opportunities very close to the Bossons glacier.
Length of the walk – 15km
Level of difficulty – Medium.
TRIP ITINERARY
Friday (23th of September)
21:00 hrs: Pick-up of participants in Leuven
22:45 hrs: Pick-up of participants in Brussel Noord
Saturday (24th of September)
07:30 hrs: Break to freshen up and for toilets
11:30 hrs: Arrival at the starting point of the hike
16:00 hrs: End of hike and boarding of bus
16:45 hrs: Arrival in Hotel at Chamonix and check-in
17:30 hrs onwards: free time to rest or to explore the city of Chamonix by yourself
Sunday (25th of September)
09:30 hrs: Finish breakfast and check-out of hotel. Board the bus to start for hike
11:00 hrs: Arrival at the start-point of the hike.
18:00 hrs: End of hike and boarding of bus
18:30 hrs: Bus starts for return journey to Belgium
Monday (26th of September)
07:00 hrs: Arrival in Brussel Noord
07:40 hrs: Arrival in Leuven
